My stay at Hotel Dos Playas Faranda Cancun was a mixed experience. While the location is convenient and the staff was friendly, the overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. The rooms were small, and ours had a musty smell, which made it hard to feel completely comfortable. However, the beach access was a highlight, and the food options, although repetitive, were satisfactory for a budget all-inclusive.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small and had a lingering musty smell. It was clean, but the overall condition felt outdated and poorly maintained.
Service
5.0
The service from the staff was friendly and helpful, though I felt the overall management could improve on service consistency.
Location
5.0
The hotel is conveniently located near Cancun Centro and has direct beach access, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were adequate, but I found that the menus for lunch and dinner didn't change much during my stay. Breakfast was decent, especially the freshly made omelets.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel grounds were well-kept, and there were adequate sunbeds available, but some areas could use a renovation.

My stay at Hotel Dos Playas Faranda Cancun was a rollercoaster of experiences. While the staff were overwhelmingly friendly and did their best to make me feel welcome, the accommodations and overall management left a lot to be desired. The construction noise during meals and the persistent issues with my room really hampered what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. 😔

Rooms
5.0
The room had issues with the air conditioning, which was not very effective despite looking new. I also encountered persistent plumbing problems, including a leaky shower and a continuously running toilet. Additionally, my requests for an ocean-facing room were not honored, leaving me facing a parking lot instead.
Service
5.0
While the waitstaff and service personnel were friendly and eager to help, the management was disappointing. I faced some distressing interactions that left me feeling victimized, particularly when trying to resolve issues with my accommodations. I appreciated the efforts of the staff, but management's approach was a stark contrast.
Location
7.0
The hotel is ideally located right on the beach and near the ferry to Isla Mujeres, making it convenient for excursions. However, the surrounding area had some garbage that detracted from the overall experience.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was marred by constant construction noise during meals. Additionally, there were many times I found the food options lacking or running out due to high demand. The staff, however, did their best to serve "adequate" options.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered basic facilities; however, I encountered significant issues like garbage piling up around the premises. Communication about services and availability was also lacking, contributing to a frustrating stay.

I enjoyed the friendly service from the staff, particularly Eduardo and Victor, who really made my stay special. The beach was lovely, but the hotel as a whole felt like it needed some updates. While the food offered a decent variety, it wasn't always the best quality.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and clean, but it had outdated amenities. The air conditioning was inconsistent, and I wish there had been a fridge or microwave.
Service
9.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was convenient, right by the beach and close to the ferry dock. I appreciated having easy access to shops and local attractions.
Dining
7.0
The all-inclusive dining offered a wide range of options, but I found the food quality to be hit or miss. The freshly made omelets at breakfast were definitely a highlight.
Facilities
6.0
The onsite facilities like the pools were well-maintained. However, the bars could use some improvement in drink quality.

My stay at Hotel Dos Playas Faranda Cancun was incredibly disappointing. While the grounds featured beautiful greenery and some friendly staff, the overwhelming issues with the rooms, service, and dining options left much to be desired. I encountered multiple problems, including a lack of communication and poor room maintenance, which severely impacted my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room was outdated, had a persistent smell, and I experienced issues with the air conditioning and plumbing. Additionally, I found cleanliness to be lacking; the linens and towels were old and stained. It felt much more like an afterthought than a welcoming accommodation.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent. While some staff members tried to help, others seemed unbothered by my complaints, particularly the front desk staff. I faced unnecessary confrontations that made my experience feel even worse.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated near beautiful gardens and close to a ferry station to Isla Mujeres, which was a plus. However, that couldn't make up for the poor service and subpar room conditions I experienced throughout my stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and the food quality was generally poor. I was disappointed to find that the menu offered the same selections daily, and I was left hungry at times due to unclear service hours and inadequate meal planning.
Facilities
5.0
While the grounds featured decent facilities, I encountered significant issues with the cleanliness of shared areas, such as restrooms by the pool. I also experienced decent amenities but was often left without basic necessities like fresh towels.

I had a great vacation at Hotel Dos Playas Faranda Cancun. The warm welcome during check-in eased my initial worries, and the food options were enjoyable, especially the made-to-order omelets and amazing tostadas. However, my room faced the street which was a bit noisy, and I did notice some limited communication regarding amenities.

Rooms
8.0
My room was clean and adequately maintained, though it faced a busy road which brought some noise in the mornings. The air conditioning worked well, which was a relief during the hotter days.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and attentive, quickly responding to our requests. I felt that they were trying their best to provide good service, even if we sometimes struggled with language barriers.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry to Isla Mujeres and close to local shops, providing easy access to nearby attractions. The beach was lovely, though it might not be perfect for young children due to some waves.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the buffet meals available, especially the lunch and dinner options. The daily breakfast was consistent with some great highlights like the freshly made omelets, but could use variation.
Facilities
8.0
The resort had nice pools and a snack bar, though there were a few maintenance days that limited access. The bars near the pools offered a good selection of drinks.
